Awesome Feat ....

Hello troops,

Recently my friend Steve; What Would Patton Do? has been accepted as an author for the website BOLS Wargame news.  He has 3 articles that will be published, the first one is regarding French armor.

He has been my FOW mentor from the start.  I have learned tons playing the FOW game with him and enjoy our matches greatly.  He is currently developing his EW army .... which is the french.  I will be venturing towards the German EW once I get some money .... lol.

FOW Early War .... German Defeat

Greetings troops,

Monday night I was able to get a doubles game in at Steve's house. Steve and Jamie took control of the French forces while Tom and I were commanding the German forces.  The battle was Free for All.  The following photos were captured by the French forces once the Germans surrendered.

Conclusion ... French are a sleeper enemy.  Do not underestimate these troops.  German forces suffered complete chaos.  Congrates to Steve and Jaime for a HUGE win.  And check out Steve's blog, What Would Patton Do? for another view of the battle.

Till next post

Joe

Oceana Airshow 2010

Greetings Troops,

Saturday I was able to head out to the airshow with the family and friends.  It was my wife's first time to an airshow.  I will say she had a blast and it looks like we will be attending as much as we can.  Nothing like photo ops and airplanes to get the kids excited .... my daughter had a blast.

Here are some photos ...... enjoy !

My Daughter and I

You knew the firefighter was going to get a fire truck photo at an airshow

I have decided to get a better camera for next years show.  Mine was hard to use ..... but we got some decent photos and had a blast.

I am playing an EW FOW game tonight at Steve's house with some friends.  I will be posting the AAR this week.

Be safe

The General delivers ...

Hello Troops,

As I previously mentioned, We got another battery charger for our ditigal camera.  I am now able to include WIP photos once again.  I am so happy to be able to say that.  A hobby blog without photos is like a novel without a plot.

Todays photos are of 2nd Platoon, Alpha Company of the 327th Glider Infantry.  I can honestly say the base unit is done.  I was able to finally matte them and place the grass.

First Squad with the Platoon Lt

2nd Squad of 2nd Platoon

3rd Squad of 2nd Platoon

Behind 3rd squad is the lone M10 tank destroyer that is completed and matte'd.  I also have the initial vehicle color on the jeeps and the jeep passengers already based.  This section should be completed by the end of the week.

The engineers are on the "sticks" and primed.  They will be the next to be in production.  The other section of M10s will be completed after.

Till the next posting ..... keep the paint flowing and the dice rolling

Joe

Remember 9/11/01

Greetings troops,

Take a moment of silence in honor of all of those who perished on 9/11/01.

Never forget those lost. Those who gave everything to save those that day and those answered America's call to serve and defend.  We will never forget ....

M10 Tank Destroyers

Greetings Troops,

September is here and things have started back into the normal routine.  Paramedic school started up this month and thank god I will be done this June.  INteresting topics but takes a lot of time from the family and hobby.

As promised I have got pictures of current projects after a long delay due to dead camera batteries.

This is the first section of my tank destroyer support platoon for the glider troops.  It consists of the HQ and carbine teams, equipped with Jeeps.  Two M10s round out the rest of the section.

I have test painted one destroyer and thought I would get some comments and see how it holds up.

Other projects currently following/being worked on is the Engineer platoon.  This leaves me the Sherman platoon and a mortar platoon to purchase and round out the total Glider Company.

Enjoy the pics ....

Imagination Photo Op

Greetings troops,

Family vacation is almost complete for the 2010 summer.  I had a blast being with the family, both as a husband and a Dad.  It is something spectacular seeing the wrold from a 2 year old's perspective.  Everything is new and wonderful. New chances to learn at every glance.  And not a care in the world.

Here are some pictures that I know we can all relate to ... both as husbands, fathers and gamers.

Enjoy ...
